- through our units, institutes, and centres; fellowships; and grants, including basic and applied research in response mode via our research Boards.
- through strategic partnerships with other UK and international funders for impact in health research
- through working across UKRI to fund multidisciplinary research that addresses the complexity of global health challenges
the aim of the mrc’s international partnerships work is to provide international leadership in partnerships which enhance the competitiveness of the uk knowledge and health base and to influence the international research agenda. the mrc also represents the uk on the governing bodies of international biomedical research organisations ensuring uk scientists have access to the best opportunities for establishing new global partnerships and to international research infrastructures.
